All library patrons must have a current FNBC identification card and a completed Library Personal Information Form on record. (Personal Information Forms are available at library front desk) Main CollectionLibrary patrons may check out materials from the main collection of the library for a two week borrowing period with renewal privileges, and fines of 20 cents per day for overdue books. Faculty may check out materials from the main collection of the library for a loan period of the current school term. If a hold is put on a book by another person, the faculty member will have seven days to return the book. No library material may be taken from the library by either student or faculty without completing proper library check-out process.
Reference Books and PeriodicalsReference books and periodicals are special collections that do not leave the library except in extreme circumstances. Special loans for one or two days are permitted in rare cases to faculty. However, it is strongly recommended that instead of checking out these type items, chapters and articles from reference books and periodicals should be photocopied. Unauthorized removal of above from the library may result in a fine up to $10. FinesStudents will be charged 20 cents per day for overdue books. If a book is lost or damaged, a fee will be issued for the replacement cost of the book. All fines and/or replacement fees must be paid before taking final exams for current block. Lending MaterialsStudents must not lend library materials checked out in their name to any other person. Faculty and staff must not lend library materials checked out in their name to other faculty, staff, or students. Reserve ServicesLibrary materials or personal items may be placed on reserve by faculty for access by students for a two hour loan period, an overnight loan period, a three day loan period, or for "copying only." |
