Welcome to the Andrus Memorial Library of Far North Bible CollegeNamed in loving memory of Rev. Kenneth Andrus (1925-1983) Co-founder of Far North Bible College FNBC's Andrus Memorial Library exists to help our students accomplish biblical research, academic writing, and general library skills. Presently, the library holdings number over 12,000 volumes including books, journals, videos, audio tapes, and other types of resources. All library holdings are now accessible via in-house computer search and are searchable by title, author, and/or subject. The University of Alaska, Consortium Library, has made an agreement with Far North Bible College granting Far North’s students and faculty the use of the Consortium’s library resources. These resources include the holdings of Alaska Pacific University. The Consortium Library includes 930,000 volumes. With this agreement is the privilege of the use of the ATLA Religion Database accessed on the computers in the Consortium Library. The ATLA is an online collection of major religion and theology journals, including more than 517,000 article citations from more than 1,616 journals. Also with this agreement students and faculty of Far North may use the library at Matanuska-Susitna College, located between Palmer and Wasilla. The holdings of this library total over 45,000 items. Through this library, books may be checked out from the Consortium Library at the University of Alaska. Students and faculty may use the branch libraries of the Anchorage Municipal Libraries to check books out from the Consortium Library at the University of Alaska as well. From these library pages you can access student resources, library policies, information on the library's computer lab, and helpful links to a variety of useful web sites. |
