Transfer of Credit

Credit for courses that meet the requirements of Far North Bible College courses completed at accredited institutions with a minimum grade of “C” may be transferred into the applicable undergraduate programs of FNBC. Credit for courses that meet the requirements of FNBC courses completed at non-accredited institutions may be considered for transfer to FNBC. Transfer of credit may be requested and evaluation given by:

  • Requesting an official transcript to be sent from the transferring institution directly to the Registrar’s office of FNBC and:
  • Producing the requested transfer credit course’s institutional course description and the credentials of the instructor from the institution’s catalog or sent directly from the institution to FNBC and:
  • Producing the syllabus from the requested transfer credit course for evaluation of the course work requirements.

No institution can guarantee that it’s credit or programs are transferable and it is always at the discretion of the receiving institution. Thus, the receiving institution determines acceptance of credits transferred from FNBC. Three factors are common in determining whether an institution’s credits will transfer. These are:

  • The requested transfer credit course’s description is equivalent to the receiving institution’s course requirements as stated by the course catalog and:
  • The course’s requirements as stated by the instructor’s syllabus and:
  • The credentials of the instructor.

Credit for Experiential Learning

Credit may be given for adequately documented and validated experiential equivalent learning of a postsecondary nature. Examples are: credit for business experience, university level equivalency tests, achievements in a related profession, military training or other postsecondary-level equivalent experience.
