B.A. Program The academic program of Far North Bible College consists of Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Biblical Studies Major with minors in Ministerial, Children’s Ministries, Christian Education, Missions, Pastoral Ministries, or Youth Ministries. This program prepares students theologically, educationally and spiritually for leadership in ministry with a biblical world-view of fulfilling the Great Commission. The program provides intensive Bible-based training to enable students to effectively preach and teach the Word of God in order to personally accomplish and empower others to fulfill their redemptive roles in society. 

A.A. Program The Associates of Arts Degree in Bible is a program available for students desiring a two year program of study. The student completes 68 semester credit hours in the areas of Bible, Theology, Church Ministries and general education. 

Bible Diploma The Bible Diploma is the program designed for students who want to complete credentialing requirements only. This is not a degree program.

 

Delivery Systems 

  • Residential Day Classes: The Far North Bible College academic year is divided into semesters with each divided into three-five week sessions with classes held four (4) days per week, Tuesday through Friday.  A three-credit course is taught in twenty (20) two (2) hour class periods, meeting the semester based credit hour criteria. 
  • Residential Evening Classes: Evening classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings for ten (10) weeks. A three-credit course is taught in twenty (20), two (2) hour class periods, meeting the semester-based credit-hour criteria.
  • Distance Education: The FNBC degree programs are available through Distance Education. The FNBC Distance Education program uses modern technology such as the Internet and CD/DVD formats to produce distance learning opportunities. Selected courses are being offered in these formats.
  • Module Course Format: Selected courses will be offered in a module format. This format consists of one or two week concentrated class sessions. This format is designed to facilitate students from outside the local area to have access to FNBC academic programs. The module format will be offered periodically at the Anchorage campus and at various locations through out Alaska, determined by student demand.
